Process Development

Check, test & approve the PPAP way

The compound's ideal. The tooling's perfect. Next, we create the perfect process. We build a team consisting of a chemist, tool design engineer, QA staff and a production supervisor. They use our Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to guarantee your finished product is perfectly in spec, and that your process is stable. First, they optimize production parameters, including:

  • Preform configuration and size
  • Molding pressures and temperatures
  • Cure times
  • Bumping cycle
  • Ejection sequence

After the team agrees on production parameters, they perform a statistical analysis to make sure process stability meets client specifications. Next, our QA department approves the process and the product work instructions are completed. Finished? Not yet; we complete our PPAP documentation including process flow charts, control plans, PFMEA and SPC analysis.

Simply put, we're serious about ensuring the quality of the process that produces your products. So serious that Hangzhou Shercon Rubber Company, LTD. sought and received its QS9000 Certification from an international registrar (BSI) and not a potentially less-stringent local one. Obsessive?
